February 2025 Forum Meeting

Every 6 weeks or so SEND Power in Haringey meets as a forum. We invite all of our members to join if they can. We also invite speakers from statutory services and community groups to come and present what they do, how to access the services/support, and also answer questions from attendees.

In February 2025 we had three speakers:

• Peter Johnson from Carers First talked about applying for Disability Living Allowance (DLA) and Personal Independence Payment (PIP).
• Harriet Lewis from Haringey's SEND Information, Advice, and Support Service (SENDIASS) spoke about the different support, activities and courses that SENDIASS are offering this term
• Talia Knoble Gershon from Haringey Council shared information about Haringey’s new Homelessness Strategy, which will cover anyone who is in temporary housing – an issue we know affects many of you.
