February forum meeting - Children's Commissioning

Monday 5th February 2024, 6.30 - 8.30pm, online

We had two speakers:

• Caroline Brain, Assistant Director with responsibility for commissioning services for children and young people here in Haringey. She talked about the services Haringey funds for children and young people with SEND, and how the services are commissioned. She also heard from families about what services are working well, and what services are still needed.
• Ayesha Uddin, from Kooth (www.kooth.com), an anonymous, safe and free space for young people to receive digital mental health support. Support is available 365 days 24/7when needed and how it is needed.

We also discussed the draft Haringey Parents' Charter, which plans to outline what parents and carers should expect from schools and services.
